Review - Apple iPod Classic - Part 1

On August 2007, Apple has presented a new version of their Apple iPod Classic, that differs from the previous model basically for its storage capability. The new version presents, in fact, an internal hard drive (and not a flash memory) that allows the user to have an almost incomparable storage capacity currently in the market. The reader is available in a 80 GB version and one with 160 GB. That means the user can store up to 40.000 songs, 200 hours of video (which correspond in average to 100 films) and 25.000 digital images.

The audio compatibility is very wide, as common for the Apple players. In fact, the iPod Classic supports mp3, AAC, protected AAC, AIFF, WAV, Apple Lossless and Audible. It also views JPG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, PSD and PNG pictures. As for the video, it gives the opportunity to download, store and view videos and movies in the mpeg3 and H.264 formats.
