iPhone OS: Event planned for tomorrow
Apple has sent a few invitations for an event that will be held tomorrow, April 8th, during which it’s likely that the new iPhone OS 4.0 will be presented. Amongst the many new “promised” features, there’s the multitasking support, which is perhaps one of the most desired ones. Other new features could be an iPad-styled springboard, for example, and a bigger integration between the devices.
Apple has already declared that the current iPads will receive a free update to the iPhone OS 4.0, while the 5.x versions will be available for purchase. It’s likely that the iPhone OS 4.0 will be launched officially together with the iPhone 4G, which makes it possible that tomorrow’s presentation will feature some new information about the next generation of iPhones.
We’ll have to wait and see!
