Rumors: Apple ordered Flash Memories for the new iPhone?

Rumors and more rumors roam around the net about the possibility of a new iPhone model. Now, to add to the list of rumors, it seems that Apple would have ordered a good number of Flash Memories in order to either update the current iPhone 3G or to start the manufacturing of the iPhone nano, at least according to speculations made by ThinkEquity’s Analyst, Vijay Rakesh.

“Our checks indicate that Apple has started ordering for its iPhone refresh (iPhone and iPhone Nano), stifling the supply chain,” says Rakesh to the clients through a note.

It seems that manufacturers such as Samsung, Hynix and Toshiba, which are currently facing trouble with manufacturing, are forced to face the huge pressure posed by Apple on the whole sector. Analysts also predict a rise in price for flash memories, if the availability of those will keep on being scarse due to Apple’s demands.
