• Review - iPhone 3G - Part 18

    Final Considerations - Part 2

When it comes to the other features that define the iPhone an “internet device”, the considerations are plenty. When it comes to web browsing, the opinions are very positive thanks to the presence of Safari, the multitouch interface and the movement sensors that make all the steps rather easy, giving the user an experience that isn’t yet found on other palms or smartphones. The lack of Flash support is very significative, and we hope it will be solved in the future. The small programs and widgets are easy to use, such as the stock market analyst, the meteo and the Youtube widget, and the Google Maps reveals itself rather useful when combined to the internal GPS.

It’s astonishing, however, that the iPhone seems to have a more casual feel to it rather than a “business” one: from one side, Apple’s support to the Exchange technologies and the VPN is appreciated, but on the other, it’s very disappointed to see that the user cannot modify files directly from the cellphone, or the lack of an essential feature such as the copy and paste.
