    Web Browsing

Safari is maybe the application that makes the iPhone different from other smartphones. The web browsing is smooth and the two-finger zoom is very easy to use. In matter of seconds, the user can view all the page, stopping in to zoom the more interesting sections. However, the lack of Flash support limits, sometimes rather heavily, the full browsing of most html pages.

When clicking on a field that require a text to be typed, the virtual qwerty keyboard automatically shows up, and by clicking the drop menu, the text is showed in big letters on the low part of the display, allowing for an easier selection. The browsing supports the tabbed browsing, which makes it possible to browse several pages at once in different tabs. Those tabs are easily reached by clicking the button on the lower right. It must be reminded that by using the “accelerometer” features that the iPhone has, it’s possible to view the pages in “landscape” mode simply by spinning the phone to the side.
