iPhone 2.2 to arrive on November 21st?

A little less than a week and the new firmware (2.2) for the iPhone should be released, according to a Greek blog. The new features that the iPhone 2.2 would bring are:

- Changes in the Mobile Safari UI with the implementation of a Google search bar
- Possibility of deactivating the auto-correction with an on/off button
- Support for Japanese characters
- Support to new languages
- possibility of using the audio-in through the jack port

New features for the iPhone maps:

- Google Street View
- Google Transit Information
- Possibility of viewing pedestrian routes
- Location Sharing

News about the App Store

- the “Genre” section will show the application icons instead of the current list
- The buttons “Tell a Friend” and “Report a Problem” have been added to each application’s page.
- The addition of an application rating function upon turning off
- The possibility of direct downloads from the iTunes podcast.

Although the sources aren’t official, if those are indeed the changes, it seems indeed rather good. We’ll wait for an official confirmation.
