An overview of the new Apple iPhone 3G S - part 5
The phone takes 20-25 seconds to turn on, instead of 50 like the iPhone 3G. The O.S. has a much better response time, although the difference isn’t that noticeable when it comes to the default programs. The true difference in speed is on the other applications and Internet navigation.
The new 600Mhz processor and the double RAM truly do their job: the heavier programs are initialized rather quickly and the rendering is much superior. Some heavier games such as Need For Speed present quite a fluidity that hadn’t seen before.
