After some first images showed a white and a black cover for the new iPhone 4G/HD, the chinese website Apple.pro has decided to release what they claim to be more images about the new generation of iPhones, both in their black and white color. Should this be true, it’d mean a completely new feature for the iPhone, since up to the 3GS version, it always featured a black front cover, regardless of the color in the back cover.
We’ll have to wait and see.

Apple is working together with Microsoft to enhance the search options on the iPhone and the respective web services. A strategy that seems to lead to a progressive independance from Google.
Apple won’t remove the support to Google on the iPhone, but it’s simply enhancing the possibilities by including the support for Bing, Microsoft’s search engine. With the next iPhone OS version, users should have a bigger option when it comes to search engines and access them in a faster way.
Despite the millions of dollars paid by Google to Apple in order to keep their search engine as default on Safari, speculation has been saying that Bing could become the default search engine for iPhone and iPad. We’ll have to wait and see.

The iPhone 4G that is shown in this video seems to be the same series as the white model shown a few days ago. Perhaps it’s nothing new to see more and more information about the iPhone 4G, as it’s been followed by a series of leaked images (fake and true) and even lawsuits. Even the mac.com.hk website, which first published this video, isn’t sure whether this one is a fake or no.
We’ll leave it up to you and wait for more information from Apple… which will probably only come during the WWDC.

From the same vietnamese source that published the previous videos about the iPhone 4G, comes the two new videos about the new device from Apple. In the first one, that can be seen above, the device is shown in many possible angles, and the connection with the USB cable. The second video is similar to the first except for the initial and final parts, which show details about the pre-loaded software on the phone.
Strangely enough, there has been no word from Apple on it yet. But it’s quite easy to assume that those from Cupertino have already found out the companies behind the videos.

After slightly more than one week from the previous release, Apple has announced the third seed for the Mac OS X 10.6.4, build 10F50. In this build, Apple covered graphic drivers, SMD, Voice Over, VPN and USB. Here are the enhancements included in the update:
* Resolve an issue that causes the keyboard or trackpad to become unresponsive
* Resolve an issue that may prevent some Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications from opening
* Address issues copying, renaming, or deleting files on SMB file servers
* Improve reliability of VPN connections
* Resolve a playback issue in DVD Player when using Good Quality deinterlacing
* Resolve an issue editing photos with iPhoto or Aperture in full screen view
* Improve VoiceOver compatibility with iMovie and GarageBand
* Improve compatibility with some braille displaysThe new build has 581.3MB and it’s only available for developers for now, although it’s not impossible that it’ll be released in June, perhaps during the WWDC 2010.

An Apple user with a very attentive eye has noticed that in the metadata from pictures taken with the iPhone OS 4.0, there are some hints that the next iPhone version will feature two photocameras.
The metadata on those pictures make reference to a “back camera”. Could that mean that the reference was made so to separate it from a “front camera”? We won’t know until the iPhone 4G is launched, of course. But it would make sense, also because if there was only one camera on the phone, why use the term “back camera”?.
It’s just speculation for now, of course, we will see once Apple launches the next iPhone.

The website Mobile Cruch has noticed that the carrier AT&T has modified their “iPhone Upgrade” plans for many users. The iPhone Upgrade plan is a service that allows clients to replace their iPhones with a more complete or recent models by signing a longer-term contract with the carrier. The silent change is about the date in which a new iPhone can be requested: if at first, the clients had to wait until November 21st, now they can request the upgrade a few months before, on June 21st.
This, according to Mobile Crunch, would not only confirm June as the launch month for the new iPhone, but could also indicate the exact date, the 21st. Or perhaps, the 22nd, as it’s the day Apple seems to have booked the Yerba Buena Centers for the Arts in San Francisco.

After the big polemic about the iPhone 4G prototype that was found by Gizmodo (or was it bought?) and then restored to the rightful owner, new rumors and anticipations keep on coming. This time, SmartPhone Medic has published a video on Youtube where they show what could be the LCD display and the cover from the next generation of iPhones.
SmartPhone Medic is a company from South Carolina that repairs iPhone and other smartphones and it’s not the first time we see one of their previews: they had published the images that claimed to be from the new iPhone’s display, as well. It’s actually likely, in this case, that SmartPhone Medic has indeed parts of the new iPhone, as the company has spare parts in order to provide clients with a possible change to broken/malfunctioning ones.
In the video above, the iPhone seems very similar to what Gizmodo has shown. The new iPhone 4G will be presented during the WWDC in June. Rumors say that it will also be available during that month, and if that is possible, Apple must have started the manufacturing already. That would justify the presence of replacement pieces like those shown by SmartPhone Medic.

The Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 from Apple has reached “sold-out” status: all the tickets available were sold in eight days. The company has waited a long time to confirm the exact dates for the event, which were only revealed last week.
The announcement, and the price raise on the ticket ($300 more) were received as an attempt of controlling the request for places, although many of the attendees will pay more for their trip than for the ticket.
The development for the Mac OS X platform seems to be pushed to second place during this WWDC: many conferences are scheduled to speak about iPhone and iPad platforms. And it’s probable that during the event, the new iPhone 4G will be revealed.

Punctual as usual, Apple has released the iPhone OS 4.0 beta 3 and its SDK to developers. As usual, these intermediate releases solve a few bugs that showed up during the previous beta testing, but also reveal some of the 100 new features promised by Steve Jobs for the iPhone OS 4.0.
The final version of the iPhone OS 4.0 will be launched during June at the same time of the iPhone 4G, but it’ll also be possible to install it on the previous iPhone and iPod Touch. For the iPad, however, a special version of the iPhone OS 4.0 will be needed, scheduled to be launched this Autumn.
